The Kyrgyz Republic
Kyrgyzstan - is a country located in Central Asia. Landlocked and mountainous, Kyrgyzstan is bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the southwest and China to the east. Its capital and largest city is Bishkek.
The official language, Kyrgyz, is closely related to the other Turkic languages; however, the country is under a strong cultural influence from Russia and is rather Russified. The majority of the population (64%) are nondenominational Muslims.

Bishkek
Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic is located in the foothills of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too Mountains in the central parts of the Chui Valley. Bishkek is the Political, Economic, Scientific, and Cultural Centre of the Republic, and its main transport junction large portion of Kyrgyzstan's Industrial output is also concentrated in the city. Kyrgyzstan's Primary Scientific Facilities are located in Bishkek, included the National Academy of Sciences and other import applied Scientific Research Centers.

Bishkek is the Centre of National Culture with State Opera, Ballet and Drama Theatre, Puppet Theatre, Cinemas, Libraries, and Museums. Bishkek is one of the greenest cities in Central Asia. There are more than 20 Parks and Square in the city and National Parks and open reservoirs has been created outside of town. Bishkek is the largest city of Kyrgyzstan. Bishkek is also the Administrative Centre of Chui Province, which surrounds the city, even though the city itself is not part of the Province but rather a Province-level Unit of Kyrgyzstan.
Bishkek is a city of wide Boulevards and Marble-faced public buildings combined with numerous Soviet-style apartment blocks surrounding interior courtyards and, especially outside the city center, thousands of smaller privately built houses. It is laid out on a grid pattern, with most streets flanked on both sides by narrow irrigation channels that water the innumerable trees, which provide shade in the hot summers.

There is public transportation available including Buses, Electric Trolley Buses, and public vans, Taxi, Cabs can be found throughout the city. There is no subway in Bishkek, but the city is considering designing and building a light Rail System

A wide variety Fast food, Meat, Vegetables, Clothing, Pharmaceutical and Utensil Stores, including several Asian Grocery stores, are located in the suburbs within the walking distance of the University
Fashion
European style, Turkish, French fashions, Garments are imported usually from Turkey, China, and European countries. Warm clothes are necessary in Kyrgyzstan. During the winter months at night temperature can drop to less than -10°. Simple casual clothing has become standard dress on campus while overuse during professional study in University, or for example practical in hospital.
Students should bring as much clothing from home as possible especially if their funds are limited while staying in Kyrgyzstan otherwise clothes are available here.
